Christopher R. Verrico
Position: President, CEO and Director
Christopher R. Verrico has 25 years of mine development/operations experience within B.C., Alaska and the Canadian Territories managing and contracting open pit mining, bulk ore handling and northern infrastructure construction operations. In the past 10 years Mr. Verrico has been focussed on scoping resource development opportunities throughout the America’s with key participation in raising more than $100 million of venture capital for, and is a Director of, a number of Canadian junior public companies.
Ms. Heather Miree
Position: Vice President of Exploration
Ms. Heather Miree P.Geo., Vice President, Exploration. Having over 25 years experience as an exploration and mine geologist throughout North America Ms. Miree is an Honours graduate of the University of Waterloo, Bachelor of Science in Earth Science and is a Professional Geologist registered in the Provinces of Ontario and Alberta. She has directed gold, base metal, and industrial mineral exploration and mining projects in such regions as Ontario throughout western Canada as well as Nevada and Arizona. Most recently Heather held senior geological supervisory positions with St. Andrew Goldfields Ltd. and Lake Shore Gold Corp. and has been influential in the advancement of several grassroots or brownfields mineral properties through the exploration and Advanced Exploration stages to Commercial Production.
Peter Crossgrove
Position: Director
Mr. Crossgrove is currently a director of Lake Shore Gold Corp having joined its board in November, 2009, following completion of Lake Shore’s business combination with West Timmins Mining Inc., where he also served as a director. In addition, Mr. Crossgrove is currently Chairman of Excellon Resources Inc. and Brush Creek Corp, and sits on various boards of directors including Barrick Gold, Quadra Logic Technologies, Pelangio Mines, Detour Gold Corporation and Dundee Realty. He is the former Chairman and founder of Masonite International Inc., and previously served as CEO and Vice Chairman of Placer Dome Inc. Mr Crossgrove is a Member of the Order of Canada, and a recipient of the Order of Ontario, and the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal.

Mr. Thor Eaton is a highly regarded and well known businessman and philanthropist. Mr. Eaton serves as Chairman of Notae Investments Ltd. and the Eaton Foundation. He has been a director of Attwell Capital Inc. (formerly Fralex Therapeutics Ltd.) since March, 2005, and a director of West Timmins Mining Inc. since September, 2006. Mr. Eaton is a director of Metaris Inc. and served as an independent director of Band-Ore Resources Ltd. He also served as director of T. Eaton Co. Ltd. from 1973 to 1999. Mr. Eaton created the Thor E. and Nicole Eaton Family Charitable Foundation, which has contributed to the livelihood of hospitals, environmental groups and Canadian cultural institutions, such as the Royal Ontario Museum, St. Michael's Hospital, the National Ballet of Canada and the Atlantic Salmon Association.
Tim Ryan
Position: Director
Mr. Ryan is currently a director and Chairman of the audit committee of Excellon Resources, a TSX listed precious metal producer with operations in Mexico and is founder and President of First General Securities Inc. Mr. Ryan holds an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and has served as a director and/or officer of a number of public and crown corporations including West Timmins Mining Corp. (WTM), sitting as an independent director prior to its merger with Lakeshore Gold Corp.
Casey Forward, CGA
Position: CFO
Forward brings over 15 years of accounting experience in North America, including extensive knowledge of the regulatory filing processes involved both in Canada and the U.S.
Dusan Berka, P.Eng.
Position: Director
Mr. Berka is a graduate engineer with a M.Sc. (Dipl.Ing.) degree from the Slovak Technical University, Bratislava, Slovakia (1968) and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. since 1977. He has over 35 years international experience in Engineering, Marketing & Sales and Business Administration. He also has extensive experience in the management, marketing, promotion and administration of public companies as well as in the Corporate Communications, shareholders information, public relation and contract negotiations. During the past 26 years Mr. Berka has served as a Director and Officer of various public companies traded on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchanges and the NASDAQ System in USA.
Brendan Cahill
Position: Director
Brendan Cahill is currently Vice President Corporate Development of Pelangio Exploration Inc., a TSX Venture Exchange listed junior gold exploration company. He was Corporate Secretary of Pelangio Exploration’s predecessor, PDX Resources Inc., prior to its merger with Detour Gold Corporation in 2009. Previously, he was an associate in the mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance groups at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, where he advised on a number of transactions and financings involving major Canadian mining companies.
