LATEEGRA ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT

July 21, 2009, Vancouver, BC: Lateegra Gold Corp. (the "Company") (LRG - TSX Venture) announces that it has arranged, subject to TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") approval, a private placement of up to 2,000,000 units at $0.35 per unit for total gross proceeds of up to $700,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one transferable share purchase warrant, each warrant exercisable into one additional common share at a price of $0.50 per share for a period of two years from the date of closing. Proceeds of the private placement will be used for general working capital and for corporate acquisition purposes.

Finders' fees will be payable in whole or in part on the units issued under the financing, in accordance with TSX Venture Exchange policy.

The Company also wishes to announce the granting of incentive stock options, subject to approval of the Company's stock option plan by the Exchange, to its' directors, officers, consultants and employees, under its Stock Option Plan, for the purchase of up to 300,000 common shares of the Company for a period of 2 years at a price of $0.35 per share.
